Since 1981 East End Clambakes has catered thousands of parties, weddings, and corporate events all over Long Island. East End Clambakes, Inc. employs over 30 staff each season and is the oldest and most successful company that specializes in clambakes in all of Long Island. This season Capt. Phil Gay and his staff of chefs will cook and prepare thousands of lobsters, grill hundreds of pounds of swordfish and yellowfin tuna, and shuck over 10,000 clams and oysters, as well as prepare many other delicious summer dishes for their customers and guests.
New York Magazine listed East End Clambakes as one of the trés chic caterers of the Hamptons. It was awarded Best Clambakes 2001 & 2003 by
Dan's Papers, and
Hamptons Magazine awarded them with Best Clambakes 2002. East End Clambakes was featured on "The Morning Show" on WB11 and "The East End Show" with Doug Geed on Channel 12 last summer.
With a reputation like this, Capt. Phil Gay wanted nothing but the best when he was looking for an oversized lighthouse to grace the entrance of his restaurant. He chose the 8’ Cape Cod Lighthouse to communicate the perfect nautical ambiance. The lighthouse provides a welcoming and memorable symbol that reinforces the reputation of excellence that East End Clambakes has earned.
